What to expect
The evenings consist of a three course meal with nibbles and a drink on
arrival. The cooking is all done by me on the day and the menu will be
as seasonable as possible using as many locally sourced ingredients as
possible. Due to the nature of my small terraced house there is only room for
8 guests around my dinner table. It's a cosy affair and I hope that new
friendships and acquaintances will be easily made as people come
together over their love of good food and good company. Come by yourself or come in a group. Bring a bottle and an open mind.
Guests
Anyone is who has an interest in food and meeting people is invited to come along. I'll be advertising the supper club on my blog, The Arbutus Club, on this site, via twitter (@arbutusclub) and through a mailing list which I will add to as the club gets established. It's very much a word of mouth venture so feel free to tell your friends and invite anyone you think may be interested.
Cost
The cost for the evening is 20euro (depending on the menu this may be increased slightly but not without notice) and guests are asked to leave their donation on arrival. If you are not able to make it on the night, please give as much notice as possible so your place can be filled, or even better, send someone else as an alternative you.Feel free to tip if you think I'm worth it!
Menu
The menu will be advertised a few weeks before hand via the blog. Please get in touch if you have any special dietary requirements. The sooner you let me know about this the tastier the alternative I can rustle up for you.
Drink
An aperitif will be provided on arrival but all other alcohol is bring your own.
Venue
My house. In the interests of self protection I will reveal this to guests before the evening arrives!Contact/Queries
You can reach me by email at thearbutusclub@gmail.com, on twitter @arbutusclub or via this site or my blog. One of those should work and I'll do my best to answer any queries. Don't be shy.
